Participants will build robots, program them, and then test them on the VEX IQ competition field. The participant will learn enough to start teaching VEX IQ construction and programming to students.

None, although some experience in programming would be helpful

Continuing Education

We're working with Washington OSPI for teacher clock hours, and there may be an additional charge from the OSPI. Teachers from other states will receive documentation of completion. 

Who is this for?

Teachers using VEX IQ in the classroom or any adult leading an after-school VEX IQ program. Not for youth, but we will consider high school students who are mentoring VEX IQ Challenge programs.

Logistics

  • Participants should bring their own computer – either Windows 7 or higher, or MacOS with Chrome installed and at least one USB port. Notebook computers are fine, but no iPads or Android tablets.
  • VEX IQ Super Kit will be supplied to each participant which is yours at the end of the course.
